Harman Kardon CD401
I bought this new during my trip to NYC in the mid-eighties. The trip was strictly for the heck of it, I went with some friends and stayed in a hotel off Broadway. What an experience! I saw this in a high-end stereo shop and spent the rest of my vacation money on it. Never regretted it (glad the room was paid up beforehand!) I remember wanting the vacation to end so I could go home and hook it up. Seems like nothing else mattered!

I took this in trade for some work I did for a guy who was moving out of state. I only accepted it because it had a real wood cabinet, metal face, and many features. I figured it couldn't be that bad. I was right! It isn't my CD401, but it sounds great. The belts are needing replacement, and it could probably use a good cleaning.
