JVC T-X300 Computer Controlled Programmable Tuner / Timer
I bought this new in the mid-late eighties so that I could hook two tuners up. This one was digital. You could program two power outlets as well as radio station for up to 6 times, 7 days a week (including any particular day.) The wealth of programming options was astounding for the day. I always loved the glowing buttons (HK used them quite frequently.) The tuner stopped tuning in stations accurately about ten years later. The timer still works flawlessly today!

JVC A-X4 Super-A Integrated Amplifier
65wpc
This was my first integrated amp purchase bought new in the early '80's. I wanted the A-X9 in the worst way and only had enough money for the A-X4. I couldn't wait any more so I bought it. I was NOT disappointed. JVC claimed Super-A had all the pro's of A, without the cons. This puppy drove my vinyl collection through Optimus T200's for many, many years. Today it powers my Ohm Pro 200's & Avids

JVC SEA-33 Graphic Equalizer
I bought this to replace my failing Realistic 10 band equalizer. I liked how the SEA worked on my A-X4 so I figured I couldn't go wrong. I was right. It has 12 bands and is one of the few that actually go down to 31Hz. I use it now to fine-tune my subs. It is pictured above my HK CD401 Cassette Deck . I really wanted the SEA-M9 equalizer, though. What a beauty!
JVC RX-717V Dolby 5.1 Digital A / V Receiver
105wpc Front, 105w Center, 55wpc Rear
I bought this for home theater (bottom.) I loved JVC as a second to McIntosh, so I figured what the heck. I bought it new from a big box store in the 90's. I thought I was getting a deal. Got it home, and was not impressed. I guess I should've known something the moment I picked it up; it weighed less than half of the A-X4 (top) and yet it was a receiver, integrated amp w/5.1 Dolby Surround with a passive sub output. I am currently only using its switched outlets to control other equipment. You read it right.
JVC 27" Color Television
I bought this TWICE because the first one blew mysteriously when my ground wire for the turtable accidentally touched the left spade of the power plug after two years of owning it (oops!) I loved this TV, and fortunately for me, the extended warranty covered it. It had a slew of inputs and outputs for stereo and other video sources and equipment. When they couldn't repair it, they told me to go pick out a new one off of the shelf. I picked the manufacturer's equivalent (mine was replaced with a newer version) without hesitating. I currently only use it as a monitor for checking video sources before projecting with my InFocus projector and for the occasional non-serious viewing.
